Training and Expertise: Greg S. Morganroth

He is a Michigan native who attended The University of Michigan, where he graduated with honours. He earned his M.D. with honours from the University of Michigan School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Society and received the Carl Vernon Weller Award for outstanding pathology student. Dr. Morganroth then moved to the Ivy League, where he completed an internship at the University of Pennsylvania and a dermatology residency at Yale.

He discovered his true talent as a skin surgeon at Yale and decided to pursue a career in dermatologic surgery. After graduating from Yale in 1994, he moved to the Midwest to pursue a competitive Mohs, Laser, and dermatologic surgery fellowship at the Skin and Mohs Surgery Center, Baptist Medical Center, and Hunkeler Eye Clinic in Kansas City, Missouri. He was privileged to work alongside a Mohs and laser surgeon, a facial plastic surgeon, and an ophthalmic plastic surgeon during this one-year fellowship approved by the American College of Mohs Surgery, giving a unique multidisciplinary foundation in skin surgery. Following his fellowship, he relocated to Silicon Valley to start his own dermatologic and cosmetic surgery clinic.

A little insight on the Doctor

Previously, he was an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at Stanford University, clinical faculty of the Mittelman Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship training programme in Los Altos, CA, and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco.

In 2004-2005, he was the founder and co-director of the Next Step Dermatologic Surgery Course at Stanford University, and in 2012, he revived the Next Step Dermatologic Surgery Course at California Skin Institute-San Jose/Los Gatos, where surgeons from all over the United States and Canada came to see him perform his unique cosmetic techniques.

Industry Leadership

From 2004 until 2011, his one-year fellowship was under the auspices of the American College of Mohs Surgery, but it later became independent to increase the emphasis on advanced aesthetic surgery, laser, and scar revision operations.
